In the late 1800's the villa was purchased by the influential Florentine family, the Altoviti Sangalletti. They built the small chapel which is now the "Brunelleschi" apartment. Despite the Villa having passed hands on many occasions during the past two centuries, the overall plan of the property has remained largely unchanged. The current owner, recognizing the great potential of the building as exclusive country retreat, employed the services of an expert architect and Tuscan craftsmen and women so as to realize the luxurious historical relais in the countryside at the gates of Florence.
