Santa Maria del Fiore, one of the most beautiful bell towers in Italy, work of genius by Giotto
Renowned as "Giotto's bell tower", the bell tower of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore was initiated in 1334 by the painter Giotto. Giotto proceeded to the construction of the bell tower using the red marble from Sienna, the white marble from Carrara and the green marble from Prato.
